1994, CEIBS is inaugurated in Shanghai, operating from Shanghai Jiao Tong University Minhang campus and delivering Executive Education programme
1995, CEIBS launches first full-time English-language MBA and EMBA classes on Chinese mainland
1995, CEIBS holds first Board of Directors meeting, Academic Council meeting, and Corporate Advisory Board meeting
1996, Donation ceremony held for the CElBS BAT Chair of Marketing, the first chair endowed to a business school on the Chinese mainland
1997, Ground is broken on main CEIBS campus in Jinqiao, Pudong, Shanghai
1998, First CEIBS representative office is established in Beijing

2017, First EFMD Business School Impact System (BSIS) evaluation process is completed
2017, CEIBS Economic Research Institute of Central and Eastern Europe (ERICEE) is set up to support Belt and Road Initiative
2018, CEIBS launches first HEMBA class
